How many times a week can I use the facilities?
You may use the facilities as many days a week as you like and as often throughout the day as you like. We do recommend an orientation with fitness staff that are available to talk to you about the optimum number and types of workouts for you on an individual basis. Members between the ages of 13 and 15 MUST have an orientation before they may use equipment. An orientation is free and for members only. We also have personal training available for a fee.
How do I get to use an indoor tennis court?
Our indoor tennis courts are available to members and non-members alike. However a non-member must pay a day pass fee as well as the court cost when court costs are being charged. Currently we do not charge court fees between May 31st and Sept 1st. The courts can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance but you will be charged for the court costs if you cancel less than two hours before the reserved time.
What is the YMCA policy on youth member/non-member unsupervised attendance, usage of the cardio and gym equipment, XRZONE and what are the ages of that it covers?
Youth fitness is one of our major priorities here at the YMCA. We strive to offer a variety of fitness opportunities for youth of all ages. As of December 5th, 2011 the current YMCA policy is as follows:• All youth (members and non-members) ages 12-15 may use the facilities, including the weight and cardio equipment, WITH or WITHOUT their parents, but they must first complete an orientation with one of our fitness coaches.
*PLEASE NOTE:
A parent/guardian MUST be initially present to sign the orientation form. Non-member charges ($7 for a day pass and $10 for an orientation) still apply
• All youth (members and non-members) ages 8-11 may now use the facilities, excluding the weight and cardio equipment, WITH or WITHOUT their parents (for age appropriate classes ONLY).
**NOTE:
A parent/guardian MUST be initially present to sign a child’s wavier for all non-members. A non-member charge for youth activities (ages 8-11) is a $4 day pass.
Further, to help identify those who have completed the orientation process, all youth ages 12-15 will be required to wear the official YMCA wrist band given to them after their orientation while using the weight and cardio equipment. Those in this age range noticed not wearing the band will be approached to ensure an orientation has been completed.
XRZone attendance is for children 6 to 14. A parent must accompany a child under 6, and they must stay in that location with the child. Also, there are specific hours these locations are open and staffed, please check our “KIDS KORNER” section on this web page. Please also check our youth group fitness classes on that page!
